Dear Spring 2021 CMNS Graduates,
Congratulations! Earning your science degree is an important milestone toward achieving your life goals. Thank you for entrusting our college with the task of teaching, training and mentoring you in preparation for your future successes.
We offer a special thanks to your families and friends for their support and sacrifices during your challenging and rewarding years here at the University of Maryland. They should all relish the shared feeling of pride in what you have accomplished and the exciting road ahead.
I know this year has required all of you to adapt to new ways of learning and to bear added stress and anxiety about things like your health, wellness and finances. I hope now that the semester is over, you will take time to stop and look further back at all of the incredible things you have accomplished since you arrived on campus. You have grown in so many ways inside and outside the classroom and we are so proud of you.
We know that you will touch lives and bring excellence to whatever you pursue. As you embark on the next stage in your life and translate what you learned here into action, don’t forget to carry our Terp values forward into society.
As you join the over 50,000 Science Terp alumni living around the world, please keep in touch. Let us know about the many achievements you experience in your careers and personal lives. We will always share in the joy of your successes.
Once again, on behalf of the faculty and staff of the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences, please accept our sincere congratulations and best wishes as you set out to make your mark on the world.
